My Visit to Spain- A Sea full of Sauces and Senoritas

The oceans mesmerizing blue exceeded the horizon inviting huge waves to rest at the shores. The salty scent of seaweeds and the morning mist encircled the hotel walls. I was sitting near the window watching the sun hide behind the wall of the horizon reluctant to rise. The vibrant colours of dusky orange and pink combined together like an unintentional pattern on the freshly cut wood.

Delicious food

The unforgettable experiences about my visit to Spain. Relaxed and galvanized by its vibrant culture and delicious foods. It is one heaven on earth flooded with wine, good music, dancing and beautiful art and history. Spain is also known to be called Reino de Espana which means the Kingdom of Spain. The smell of sauces and the festive celebration of the bull festival also known as Sam Fermin was in the air. The feeling of excitement and the anxious feeling of not knowing what is to happen the very next minute is very overwhelming.

Spanish Art and Culture

The people are tremendously kind and don’t mind expressing themselves freely. Be it in the form of Art, Dance, and Music. That is one of the central ideas as to why they are so vibrant and rich in culture. Spain is home to the Flamenco Dance and various other dances like the Tango. Its various art museums and art stores are a source of pleasure and entertainment. It’s the reason as to why someone like Picasso himself was fruitful with their praises.

Vivacious festive celebrations

The festive celebrations are extravagant and vivacious. They surely have the biggest tomato festival and love hurling tomatoes at everyone in the city. It is a jolly sight one that will make you want to run like a kid excited to play in the rain.

Spain O Spain a sea full of sauces and senoritas. The gentlemen treat you well, attending to your needs and addressing you as senorita. It’s pretty lavish to be called a lady in Spanish. The traditional attire is one that is way beyond elegant and decorative. As you drive through Spain you are welcomed by gardens of sunflowers. While on the other hand the marketplaces are flooded with Saffron( Click here to know about the things you can do in Spain on a budget). Spaniards eat a variety of cuisines and wash them done with wine. They are known for their seafood restaurant as Spain is surrounded with water.

The Spaniards are very passionate about games and sports. Madrid being the capital of Spain lies in the geographic centre of the country and has recently been known for its fierce victory through soccer/football. It is home to various widely known teams. Madrid a capital so rich in culture is not just home to various football teams but is also known for its Great royal palaces. Madrid cradles within it one of the oldest street markets which date back to the medieval times it is called Rastro. It isn’t only known for its clothes and attractive discounts but is also known for its antique jewellery and vintage furniture.

Spain is surely one place everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. It is surely a place I would revisit. And the reasons as to why I am so passionate about this place, in particular, are as mentioned above. Please do read and visit because it is probably the best way to spend a holiday. I mean isn’t swimming in wine an absolute luxury.
